Marine Safety Quality Management

At ASM we believe safety is good business and safety is everyone’s business.

ASM is committed to cultivating a strong safety culture and strives for continual improvement in its safety performance.

Our Marine Safety and Quality Management team is responsible for ensuring that our policies and procedures are clear and concise through carefully constructed and implemented operation manuals.

ASM's policies and procedures have been adopted to meet or exceed the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards and are being continually improved and developed.

Like the vessels that we manage and the industry in which we work, ASM never stands still.

We carefully monitor and upgrade our systems through performance analysis against Key Performance Indicators and regular audits both at sea and ashore.

Commitment to system improvement, development and training is key to our success. The Marine Safety and Quality Management team is also responsible for the planning, preparation and supervision of third party vessel inspections and follow up on the closing observations raised during inspections.

OCIMF SIRE inspection programs are designed to meet each individual customer’s specific requirements.

Our team of Master Mariners in the Marine Safety and Quality Management team will personally discuss the inspection program with the customer in order to establish the specific requirements for each vessel and the customer is updated regularly regarding the vetting status of all vessels.
